DAN FINNEGAN (DF) Stoneware Textured Leaf Pattern Vase (Stamped) VINTAGE. This vintage stoneware Dan Finnegan piece is in pristine condition.

As is usual with the pottery artist, the vase is marked with his initial pottery stamp (df) on the side just below the handle. Crafted in matte and glossy finishes, the vase has a textured ribbing pattern in gradient beige with embossed blue leaves and glossy green and blue neck and lip.

Finnegan got his start in pottery in 1973. After college, he trained in England at the Winchcombe Pottery. In 1980, he landed back in the U.

And launched his pottery career in Fredericksburg, Virginia. The hallmark of Finnegan pottery is that all of his work is fired and salt glazed in a two-chamber Bourre box kiln to 2,400 degrees F, according to his bio. Finnegan is known to craft pottery made for anywhere in a home, from the garden, to the kitchen or dinner table. This gorgeous vase/pot weighs 1.15 pounds and measures 4 1/2 inches in diameter at its widest point and 6 1/2 inches tall.
