I have a wonderful vase that is hand manipulated by one of the greatest if not the greatest Potter in American history. The vase is a nice cabinet size as it stands 4 1/2" tall and is 4 1/4" in diameter at its widest point and the bottom has a diameter of 3 1/4. This vase has a bulbous shape with a manipulated twisted body with a star shaped top opening. There are 8 of these star shapes at the top. They are so paper thin and delicate it is amazing they have survived all these years without getting broken. The glaze is quite unique for George Ohr. I described this as a Gun Metal Black glaze with a freckle style mottling. The inside has a glossy deep brown waterproofing interior. The vase is considered to be in excellent condition as there are no cracks, nicks, chips or dings. I was told there was a small restoration to one of the tips of a star but I cannot seem to find it.

The vase is signed on the bottom with the incised script signature mark that reads "Koop o liskle" and G. No store lets you out of the building with the merchandise unless it is paid for. Maybe if enough of you do this, they will change their policy. CLEMENTS ANTIQUES OF NEW HAMPSHIRE STOREFRONT.
