Perhaps considered one of the rarest lines produced by the Roseville Pottery Co. Of Zanesville, Ohio would be this particular pattern called cremo. Designed in 1904 by Frederick H Rhead who was employed at the factory during the early 1900's, he utilized his developing style of squeeze bag decoration. He is noted to have designed and oversaw production of several early patterns produced by the company. Lines such as della robbia, crocus and this pattern cremo were the results of his experimentation with glazes.

This fine example is possibly the most beautiful work from Roseville that I have ever had the opportunity to own. The art nouveau style of the twisted vines and delicate blue flowers sets this piece apart from the crowd.

The detail is exquisite as this type of glaze tended to run during firing. The vase shows absolutely no crazing that I can find and it appears to have never been used for anything other than display. From my research, I have found this to be shaped 9-5. The piece measures 4 1/2" tall with the bulbous region spanning 4 1/4" across.

The top opening spans 3 1/8 outside rim to rim. In absolutely pristine condition with no chips, cracks, damage or repairs.

The inside is clean showing no staining or residue from use. I have looked the outside over and can find absolutely no crazing, however, I will not rule out a possible craze line that I have not noticed when viewing. I also noticed some extremely minor marks in the glaze near two of the molded feet as pictured-I believe these were the result of the grinding process of the excess glaze when the vase was pulled from the kiln and prepped for sale. An extremely rare chance to add a highly sought after piece of Roseville rarely seen in the marketplace today. Please view all pictures as they are considered part of the description.
